The headquarters of the association is in the city of Al-Rahd, the capital of the locality of Al-Rahad Abu Dakna, about 70 km from the city of El-Obeid, the state capital, and 450 km from the capital, Khartoum. Al Rahad is a major junction railway station inking central to western Sudan.

The scope work of the association’s is mainly concentrated in Al Rahad locality in North Kordofan state in Sudan, with its defined borders according to the local government law. Its about 4,994 square kilometers, Alrahad considered as second largest locality in North Kordofan in terms of resources after Shikan locality.The association's services extend to some areas of South Kordofan (the Eastern Mountains) that are directly linked to Al Rahad locality.

The population of Al-Rahad locality is more than 200 thousand people, with 8% percent of the state's population, 47.7% of them are males and 53.3% females distributed between the city of Al-Rahad and 274 villages. About 80% of them are working in agriculture, gardening and herding. The area of ​​agricultural land is estimated at about 1.2 million acres, and the soil varies from clay to sandy.

In the locality, there are several agricultural unions and associations for rain-fed agriculture, irrigated agriculture, and vegetable and fruit cultivation, in which cash and consumer crops such as corn, sesame, peanuts, hibiscus, and gum arabic. Al-Rahad is considered one of the largest International markets for hibiscus and the second largest market for crops in the state.

The locality is famous for its high production of fruits and vegetables, the most important of which are mango, guava, and citrus fruits such as lemon and nearby fort. The area has natural resources for farming producing fresh Organic food, fresh vegetables and fruits.

Also the area having a tourists characteristics that makes it a promising tourist area for internal and external tourism, such as: Al-Tarda lake , which is fed by water, the Umm Taqrur Valley, Abu Habl Khor, and several other small seasonal valleys whose beaches are surrounded by sandy soil and fruit and vegetable gardens. Al-Dayer Mountain Reserve is located at the top of Al-Dayer Mountain, located 32 kilometers south of the city. The area of ​​the reserve is about 314,450 square kilometers.
